What helps when you get in touch
- The make, and the model number if you can find it (usually on a sticker inside the door or on the back).
- What the machine is doing, in your own words, such as "full of water", "banging on spin" or "dead".
- Any error code on the display, or a photo of it. Our error code finder may answer it on the spot.
- Whether it is freestanding or built into a kitchen unit.
- Roughly how old it is, and whether it might still be under guarantee.
We ring back during opening hours. Call-back time: to decide. If it is outside our hours, send the details and we will ring first thing.
Two things worth knowing before you ring. If the machine is under about two years old it may still be under the manufacturer's guarantee, and a guarantee repair is usually free. And if it is a Hotpoint or Indesit sold between October 2014 and February 2018, it may be covered by the door-lock recall, in which case the repair is free from the manufacturer.
We specialise in washing machines and washer-dryers. We do not repair tumble dryers, dishwashers, ovens or fridges, and we do not install new machines, so if that is what you need, we will say so straight away rather than waste your time.
